The Process

Every Sud West Design process is unique to each project. If your project has a specific timeline or is a long-term goal, we can meet your expectations. No matter the timeframe, we follow a general process to help guide us towards the finished space.

Consultation

The Sud West Design process will begin with an in-person consultation. During this consultation, clients will meet with the designer, determine the overall wants and needs of the project, and discuss design planning and coordination.

Following the initial in-person consultation, the designer will have an on-site consultation. During this on-location meeting, the designer will take measurements, determine what hard furnishings are needed and are available, and get an overall sense of the space. This is a vital part of the process for the designer to observe and get a sense of all design elements within the space. The designer will then work remotely and plan out the project. They will create presentations varying from mood boards, 3-D visualizations including determined materials, and even floor plan layouts.

The time between consultations will be based on the scale and timeframe of the project.  Once the designer finishes the planning, the client and designer will have one more in-person consultation to discuss paths forward.

Installation

Installation includes site work on the hard goods and furnishings within the space. This includes but is not limited to applying and determining paint samples, assembling furniture, and general updates within the designer's capabilities.

Installation includes curating all soft goods and furnishings within the space. This includes but is not limited to, delivering needed materials to the site, determining final selections, and refining all materials within the space.
